A costly and in-depth marketing campaign was initiated by a client, although within a compact UK geographical area it was covered by multiple dialling codes. As the business required a local dialling code to be presented VosTel obtained and allocated numbers for each of the dialling codes required and also set up the telephone system to be able to show specific numbers as required. This resulted in a very successful campaign which returned some of the best telemarketing results the company had ever attained.

Solution A small but successful business had been built up over a number of years and had outgrown its existing premises, suitable premises were identified and although only a few miles away from its previous site it was in a differing dialling code area and necessitated a change of telephone number. This was not an option as the company relied on repeat business and many of its customer base were conversant with the ‘old’ number. VosTel provided a solution in porting the number and making in non-geographic specific, the result was an uninterrupted telephony solution, a smooth relocation and continued business success.

With the addition of satellite branches throughout their trading area a factoring business found even their inter branch phone costs were spiralling let alone the calls to clients. On approaching VosTel a solution was identified by installing VoIP capabilities at head office and every branch, with minimal outlay a significant cost saving has been realised monthly and has also allowed the system to be scalable in tune with the company’s expansion plans and with the VosTel call charges being favourable compared to the previous service provider this has also allowed additional savings to be made.

Recognising the high cost of ‘mystery shopper’ campaigns, and the short term benefit of this approach, an existing VosTel client approached us to find a solution, this was resolved by utilising VosTel’s Call Recording feature. It enabled the Managing Director to give real life examples of calls and how they were handled throughout the branch network, these are used in regular training sessions and have proved an invaluable training and sales tool at a much lower cost than any similar resolution. Having installed the service at one branch and trialled successfully, the Call Recording service was quickly utilised at every one of the company’s branches.

A lengthy telephony contract had been entered into by a client, increasing call charges were having a very negative effect on the bottom line profits but the contract included hardware so the client was ‘trapped’. Following discussions and VosTel offering some alternative options to the dilemma the solution was found by installing a gateway. This allowed the client to utilise internet telephony and its associated cost savings and feature benefits without having to invest in additional hardware, in fact the users of the system were not aware of any difference at all. The main difference was apparent when the monthly phone bill arrived from VosTel, it was a pleasant surprise to see a 22% reduction in call costs especially as the gateway was supplied and installed FREE!

Following negotiation with a service provider the clients telephony needs had changed slightly as when the contract was initiated the client made a high level of local calls, these had now reduced and mobile calls had become more prevalent. The contract originally gave free local calls but was expensive for mobile calls. VosTel were able to install a gateway at a minimal cost to the client, this used LCR (Least Cost Routing) which sends the call via the most cost-effective route whether that be internet telephony or their existing service provider, this means that the company will still use the free local calls as before but for mobile, and other, calls the gateways routes the call via VosTel and saves a considerable amount on call costs each month. All this was achieved with existing hardware, no interruption in service and the gateway was provisioned offsite which allowed a fitment time of just 20 minutes onsite!

A telesales client had to field calls beyond its cut-off time due to its queuing system, as an existing VosTel user we had already overcome a great many telephony based issues they had and this situation was no different. We easily and quickly utilised the Auto Divert functionality on the VosTel platform which allowed the user to define specific time parameters to handle calls, this meant that at a specific time in the evening the system diverted calls to an answer phone and then un-diverted calls at a specified time in the morning. The result was happier staff that finished work on time and gave a better level of service to the client as well as to the customer.

Ever increasing call costs had meant business with a UK head office and multiple worldwide offices had no choice but to restrict the inter-office communications in an attempt to reduce telephony costs, this had a negative effect on business as well as moral. The VosTel solution of installing a cost-effective VoIP offering in each office means that calls between offices worldwide was now free and communication, ideas and discussions could now be shared without any fear of huge phone bills, also calls from anywhere in the world to UK mobiles and landlines were made at VosTel’s low cost rate which opened communication channels between the other offices and regional, sales and marketing managers as well as directors.

Solution On receiving high call cost bills and realising that employees were making personal calls the client wanted a way to restrict certain dialling codes but allowing others that were pertinent to his business. VosTel showed a perfect solution in the form of Call Blocking, this allowed the client to ‘user-define’ which numbers and/or dialling codes they wanted to block. Although this couldn’t alleviate the entire problem and some local calls were still able to be made the client recognised it was an impossible task to eradicate this entirely but with local calls at 1p per minute, and no minimum connection charge as most service providers impose, this was a very suitable solution.

With 7 offices within one building the landlord was having issues with businesses telephone numbers and the associated cost of new lines etc. from his service provider. Following discussions with VosTel a solution was found that was over and above anything the landlord had expected, it saved a significant amount of money immediately as they were able to reduce line rental costs from 8 incoming lines to just 1 ADSL line. By moving the telephony requirements to an internet based system they are able to port in new tenant’s numbers, export then as they depart, create individual itemised bills for each number/tenant, allow multiple numbers for each tenant and much more...all with one ADSL line. |
